Cambridge College is part of the community of Cambridge International Schools around the world. We offer IGSCE and AS Levels programs from Cambridge Assessment International Education, an entity belonging to the University of Cambridge.


CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE, as an International Educational Center (IEC) in our country, welcomes teachers and students from different countries in its classrooms, offering a cosmopolitan education based on the study programs of the United Kingdom.

The fact that we offer IGSCE and AS Levels programs from Cambridge Assessment International Education enables us to prepare our students so that they can access the full range of Certifications offered by the University of Cambridge.

Our students work with the syllabus of Cambridge  International Examinations, teachers receive online support and prepare our students to successfully take these exams, which are sent every year from England, administered by Cambridge College and then forwarded to be corrected in the UK.


In other words, who certifies our students in all subjects and in English is Cambridge Assessment International Education, an entity dependent on the University of Cambridge.

From Pre-kinder to Baccalaureate, our school teaches all subjects in the language  English and develops among its students the ability to understand and express themselves fluently, verbally and in writing,  in this universal language.

Cambridge Assessment International Education has accredited us as an International School and empowered us to receive the international exams IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) in the core subjects:  English, English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography and Spanish as a first language.

This accreditation as an International Examination Center recognizes and enhances our educational level attained and opens the possibility for our students, having taken these tests, to help them in their studies at universities in 167 countries around the world.

IGCSEs, as individual subject examinations or qualifications leading to the ICE (International Certificate of Education), have international acceptance equivalent to the British Standards of Education (GCSE) and the GCE international examinations.  level 'O'.

In addition to the Cambridge Assessment International Education license, we also hold the Cambridge Assessment English license, also owned by the University of Cambridge.  

Through this license, we prepare our students so that they can take the International English Language Certification exams.  

The preparation for the exams starts in Middle School from Year 7, starting with the A2 Key English certification, and then continues to the B1 Preliminary, B2 First certification, and when they reach Year 13 they can take the next C1 Advanced or jump to the maximum level of C2 Proficiency.

Thanks to these licenses, our students manage to have internationally recognized certifications, opening many doors for them when applying to Universities around the world.  

Thanks to the curriculum taught by our school, with the international certifications and the academic offers that we offer, our students can create a very competitive curriculum to present in their applications to universities in Europe, the United States and Latin America.

International Exams

Description  of the exams  international endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education: 


Cambridge English: Key also known as the A2 Key. It demonstrates that a student can use simple, everyday English, both written and spoken. This exam is given in Year 7.


You can use it to help students:  

  • understand simple texts in English

  • communicate in informal situations

  • understand simple verbal instructions.  

  • understand and use simple phrases and expressions

  • introduce yourself and answer questions about your personal data

  • interact with English speakers who speak slowly and clearly

  • Write short, simple notes.



Cambridge English: Preliminary, also known as the B1 Preliminary, is an intermediate level exam. It certifies that you are able to use your English language skills for work, study and travel. This exam is given in Year 9.  

B1 certifies that you can use English to communicate with native speakers in a natural way. The exam will help you improve your language skills so that you can:

  • cope with everyday situations

  • read simple textbooks or newspaper articles

  • write letters on informal topics

  • take notes in a meeting.

  • understand the main points of simple instructions or public announcements

  • deal with most situations that arise when traveling as a tourist in an English-speaking country

  • ask simple questions and participate in conversations about specific events in a work environment

  • write letters and emails or take notes on informal matters.




  • Cambridge IGCSE provides a foundation for higher level courses, including A and AS Levels and the AICE Diploma.

  • Good IGCSE grades count as great support for admission to universities and colleges around the world.

  • IGCSE offers students a flexible course of study that gives them the freedom to select the topics that are right for them.

  • Study and examination at IGCSE provide extensive knowledge, learning and basic skills that provide excellent preparation for employment.

  • Taking 7 IGCSEs candidates obtain an ICE Certificate (International Certificate of Education) or International Baccalaureate.

  • It is mandatory to pass the subjects of English, Spanish, computing and mathematics to obtain this certification (ICE)



Cambridge English: First, also known as the B2 First, is an advanced-intermediate level certificate. It shows that you can use written and spoken English for work or academic purposes. This exam is given in Year 12.


The exam uses real situations specially designed to help you:

  • communicate more effectively

  • learn the language skills you need to keep moving towards success.

  • understand the main ideas of complex texts

  • maintain a conversation on various topics, express opinions and present reasoning

  • write clear and detailed texts that express opinions and explain the advantages and disadvantages of different points of view.




Cambridge Advanced is typically for students aged 16-19 who need advanced study to prepare for university and further education.  Cambridge International AS & A Level helps students develop independent study skills that are highly valued by universities.

Cambridge International AS & A Level develops students' knowledge, understanding and skills in:

  • In-Depth Subject Content

  • independent thinking

  • Apply knowledge and understanding to new and familiar situations.

  • Management and evaluation of different types of information sources.

  • Think logically and present orderly and coherent arguments.

  • Make judgements, recommendations and decisions.

  • Present reasoned explanations, understand the implications and communicate them logically and clearly.

  • Work and communicate in English.

Cambridge International A Level is usually a two-year course, and Cambridge International AS Level is usually one year. Some subjects may start as Cambridge AS International Level and extend to Cambridge International Level.




Preparing for Cambridge English: C1 Advanced helps students develop their skills to make the most of their studies, careers and residence in English-speaking countries. This exam is given in Year 13.

  • It is accepted globally as proof of academic achievement.  More than 6,000 educational institutions, companies and government departments around the world accept Cambridge English: C1 Advanced as evidence of a high level of English.  

  • Provide endless opportunities.  It helps you develop the language skills you need to be successful in the workplace and can be used for student visa applications and admission to universities in the UK and Australia.


Provides higher-level language skills for academic and professional success. 



Cambridge English: Proficiency, also known as the C2 Proficiency, is our most advanced qualification. It certifies that you have reached an extremely high level of English. This exam is given in Year 13.


Show that you can:

  • communicate fluently and with sophistication, similar to that of a native speaker.

  • What level does Cambridge English: Proficiency correspond to?

  • Cambridge English: Proficiency is at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If you reach this level, you will be able to:
